Workshops
Dr Alison Edgar MBE runs five interactive workshops for teams, in person and online, each designed from scratch around the group’s own challenges. Where a keynote shifts how a room thinks, a workshop gives the team time to practise the change.
What WISA said
“Alison hosted a workshop at our Summit and was a fantastic asset to the event. Alison’s session was oversubscribed with standing room only.”
What happens in an Alison Edgar workshop?
The team works, from the first minute. Dr Alison Edgar MBE builds every workshop around the business’s own challenges: small-group exercises, open conversation and the behavioural psychology behind her keynotes, practised at the tables with Alison moving between them.
There are five to choose from: The Intrapreneur Mindset extended into a working session, Leading Through Change, SMASH IT!® goal-setting, Get People on understanding people to break down silos, and Alison Edgar’s Big Balls® on prioritisation. The difference from a talk is depth: a workshop leaves your team with habits they have already rehearsed, and the reasons behind them.
The workshops
Five workshops, each designed around the team before anyone walks in. The team’s challenges become the exercises and its business becomes the case study. Tell us your challenge and your numbers and we will recommend the shape.
The Intrapreneur Mindset
The flagship keynote extended into a working session: your team applies the three questions to their own roles and decisions, and leaves having practised thinking like owners.
Leading Through Change
For teams in the middle of change or bracing for it: why people resist, what the resistance is telling you, and how to bring a whole team through change with you.
SMASH IT!® The Art of Getting What YOU Want
A goal-setting workshop built on Alison’s Amazon international bestseller SMASH IT!: aligning personal and professional goals so people want to hit the targets in front of them.
Get People
Behaviour profiles for teams that need to work together: understanding your own style, reading other people’s, and breaking down the silos that grow when departments stop understanding each other.
Alison Edgar’s Big Balls®
Her hands-on prioritisation technique, built on the Eisenhower Matrix: basketballs, tennis balls and ping-pong balls that show a team what is important, what is merely urgent, and what to drop altogether.
Why teams book Alison's workshops
What a workshop is worth comes down to what your team does differently afterwards.
Everyone takes part
Workshops are built around interaction: small groups working on their own business’s problems, with Alison moving between the tables.
Behaviour, on the day
The behavioural psychology behind Alison’s keynotes becomes something your team practises in the room and can repeat the next morning.
Bespoke, every time
No workshop is delivered twice the same way. Every session starts with your challenge and is designed for your group, so the exercises use your business and your situations.
What clients say
From our first phone call through to the very well received workshops Alison ran with our Leadership Team, I found Alison and her team a pleasure to work with. Communication was clear and Alison delivered superb, highly motivational content in a relatable and actionable way. Highly recommended.
A big thank you to Alison Edgar MBE for giving us her "Why Sales and Customer Service are EXACTLY the same thing!" one-hour workshop. Kaizen Business Consultants and our core customers took huge value from the session and had a lot of fun. If you want to increase your sales and deliver better customer service then I'd highly recommend reaching out to Alison.
Tim, Kaizen Business Working with Alison and her team was a brilliant experience. When organising an event like this what you want to find is a perfect fit speaker who needs little intervention – this is Alison! She completely understood our goals and brief and had perfectly aligned content to share with the team. I was pleasantly surprised to get a detailed briefing call to review content, so she could tailor what she did on the day specifically for us – not many speakers/trainers do that. On the day itself she brought the energy we needed, it was interactive, thought-provoking and the content she covered around colour profiles and big balls appeared in most of the feedback forms we got from attendees on the day. A pleasure from start to finish. With the bonus of signed books. AMAZING. Would highly recommend it and hope to work together again soon.

Frequently asked questions about workshops
What topics do Alison Edgar’s workshops cover?
Every workshop is bespoke, designed around the team and its challenges. Dr Alison Edgar MBE’s five workshops are the starting points: The Intrapreneur Mindset, extended into a working session; Leading Through Change; SMASH IT!® goal-setting; Get People, on understanding people to break down silos; and Alison Edgar’s Big Balls®, on prioritisation. Each is then built around the group before anyone walks in.
What happens in an Alison Edgar workshop?
Interaction, from the first minute. Dr Alison Edgar MBE runs workshops built around the team’s own challenges: small-group exercises, open discussion and behavioural psychology the group practises in the room. Artifax described the workshops Alison ran with their leadership team as superb, motivational and actionable; Kaizen Business took a one-hour sales and customer service workshop and said their customers took huge value from it.
Are the workshops off the shelf?
No. The five workshops are frameworks, and every session is designed from scratch for the group in the room. Alison Edgar and her team learn the business and its challenge first, so the exercises use the team’s own situations. Shiseido’s two-hour keynote-and-workshop session at their UKI Summer Conference, for example, was built around their theme of thinking big.
How is a workshop different from a keynote?
A keynote shifts how a room thinks in under an hour; a workshop gives a team time to practise the change. Many clients pair the two: a keynote to open the event, then a workshop to turn the energy into new habits. Shiseido booked exactly that: an hour of keynote followed by an hour of workshop.
How many people can take part?
Workshops work best when everyone gets involved, from a leadership team of a dozen to a conference room of a couple of hundred split across tables. The size shapes the design, so tell the team your numbers and they will build the session around them.
Can workshops run virtually?
Yes. Alison Edgar has run interactive sessions online for years, including for MetLife’s 500-strong women’s salesforce, and once held a 10,000-strong virtual audience from start to finish.
How much does a workshop cost?
It depends on the length, group size and how much bespoke design the session needs. Contact the team with what you have in mind and we will come back with options.
Want your team working on it, in the room?
Tell us the challenge and the group, and we’ll design the session around them.
