Alison starts Sales Coaching Solutions and runs it part time whilst raising her two young boys, Kieran and Connor.
March 2014
Alison became a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
April 2014

Incorporated Sales Coaching Solutions and registered for VAT. Alison became a registered Growth Vouchers Advisor on the Enterprise Nation Market place, and organised roadshows in South West England to raise awareness and promote the scheme.

She employed her first 2 member of staff, a sales trainer and behaviour profile specialist. Alison also the business mentor at Abbyfield School, Chippenham, working with non-academic students to give them inspiration and skills. She still does this today.

Working with the Government Department for Business Innovation and Skills, our client Bath Boutique Stays, was chosen as the “Face” of Growth Vouchers” for the results they achieved after implementing Alison Edgar’s advice. His team quadrupled enquiries, tripled turn over and doubled profits. This lead to The Mail on Sunday covering his achievements.

Alison Edgar is chosen to be one of the Small Business Saturday, Small Biz 100. This leads to her running a Christmas market in Downing Street, for George Osborne and Karen Brady.

She is now a Small Businesses Saturday Champion and regularly supports and promotes SMEs in the UK.

Voted one of the UK’s top 10 business advisers by an esteemed judging panel in the Enterprise Nation competition.

This has led to Alison becoming regional champion for Enterprise Nation. She regularly organises events for them in Wiltshire, including Start Up 16 Swindon, which took place alongside the main event at KPMG London.

Alison started working with 2 of the UK’s top young Entrepreneur’s, 16 year old Ben Towers, CEO of Towers Design and 19 year old Jordan Daykin, CEO of Gripit Fixings. Jordan is the youngest contestant on Dragon’s Den to get funding from Deborah Meaden. Alison still works with both clients and has been active in the sales strategies and growth of their companies. Both Ben and Jordan feature in The Richtopia top 100 UK Entrepreneurs.
Working with Alison on sales strategy has lead to us exporting to 32 countries. She brings confidence to myself and my sales team to ensure we know that anything is possible. She has a black book with great connections and recently invited me to attend No 10 Downing Street to meet the Prime Minister’s advisor to discuss the manufacturing and export of Gripit Fixings. Sales Coaching Solutions is featured in The Sunday Times for supporting and employing graduates.

Alison is invited to work with Julie Dean and the Government Department for Innovation and Skill, to look at reforms for the self-employed. She was part of the focus group that created the blueprint of the self-employment review.

July 2015

Alison is appointed small business advisor to the cabinet office, working on contracts finder to help small businesses to sell to the government.

She becomes a volunteer business mentor at Entrepreneurial Spark working with several businesses including Truestart Coffee and Teahuggers.

Alison appears as the volunteer Keynote Speaker to raise funds for the University of the West of Scotland Micro Tyco Green Team. They raise over £1500 to empower entrepreneurism in underdeveloped countries

Alison volunteers as sales mentor at Tedx Bristol, working with the sponsorship team to give them skills to support the growth of Ted Talks in Bristol.
